GREAT MYSTERY CLASSICS by World Library Inc, contains 171
unabridged stories of murder, mystery, magic, terror and more. Perfect
for the souped-up aficionado, the editors were a little loose in their
selections, including Goethe, Dante and Shelley with Marlowe, Orczy
and Stoker. A more focused selection is still awaited. At times
this disk seemed like some software salesmen just went into the library
and began pulling out books randomly. There are hundreds of competent
mystery specialists and editors who could give the world a finer
collection. Still it does have some great stories, and we enjoyed
the novelty. Perfect for libraries. RECOMMENDED

JUMP RAVEN
by Andrew Nelson and the respected Cyberflix, Inc. team, gave several staffers many hours of entertainment. A tale of ecocide and salvation in the New York City of the future was a bright interactive movie which can be viewed and steered in a host of subplots and alternate narratives. Winner of the Grand Prix Apple/Japan CD-ROM competition, this is a fast running story and though there is a future handle, it holds up solidly in the mystery genre. JUMP RAVEN takes 8 mg RAM with Mac and MPC version available, $69.95. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We can't wait for their next release, HMS TITANIC, an interactive adventure onboard the doomed opulent ocean liner. Review by Staff
