Ida (Eeda) Marx grew up in New York City, and graduated from the School of Visual Arts. She is an illustrator, cartoonist and fine artist. and her work has appeared in various books and periodicals, including the New Yorker Magazine. Ida is currently living in the Washington D.C. area, but is planning to relocate to the New York area soon.


F Solano Lopez and Carlos Sampayo did our first cover, a special drawing of the infamous graphic novel character, Chief Commissioner Evaristo. This tough cop face perfectly depicts the formerly confident superstar boxer and now brooding and hesitant top lawman as he tries to control crime and politics in the turbulent sprawling and ethically murky metropolis of Buenos Aires. The artist/writer duo now live in Spain. I#1.

That noire master painter Robert McGinnis has done two of our hottest covers, Woman with Red Feather Boa, I#2, and Girl with Yellow Cab, II#1.

Bettina Rheims chose her photo piece, Marthé é la Cigarette for our special Bad Women issue. Madame Rheims, a popular Parisian painter and illustrator lives on a barge on the Seine. The Marthe piece now hangs in the Musee de l'Elysée in Lausanne, III#2.

Vincenso Giardino the Milanese painter and illustrator also does graphic novels...his girl and man with knife made our cover for I#3 such a hit.

Donald David a climber in hardboiled pen and ink drawing, illustrated the fine story, The Hit, by JJ Lamb in I#3. A perfect depiction of the main character, a dude that the family hung on one of the mechanics.

for Rick N Rosie. for Father Dowling Beatrice Coron a very popular Parisian artist works in block cut and ink and pen. Now living in New York City she is working for the Empire State Building Arts Committee and having successful shows in Soho and Greenwich Village. She illustrated the Rick N Rosie story in III#2 and the Andrew Greeley story in Bad Catholics, IV#2 and the new Father Dowling story by Ralph McInerny in VI#2.

Our Bad Catholics issue cover was directed by Esmée, who also models thereon. She is currently appearing with The Stage Shadows Theatre in New York. The photographer is Lloyd Ziff.

Rupert Howard did the wonderful woodblock print of Man With Telephone which illustrates Find Miriam by Stuart M Kaminsky in issue V#1. His work has appeared at many shows in NYC and LA.

Melani Ellis illustrated the James DeFilippi short story A Fog Of Many Colors in issue V#1. This moody pen and ink portrait gives a fine touch of despair to the story. Miss Ellis is painter usually working in the fine arts with a gallery in Minneapolis.
